Health & Safety
To ensure ultimate health and safety for our students while abroad, Intrax Study Abroad endorses the guidelines published by NAFSA: Association of International Educators in Responsible Study Abroad: Good Practices for Health and Safety, and employs the recommendations and guidelines set by the SAFETI Clearinghouse.
In order to ensure safe programs and productive learning environments for our students, we have also established the following operating health and safety pillars:
- We maintain constant and effective communicational flow between Intrax On-site Coordinators, International Partners and US staff
- We offer 24 Hour Emergency Assistance for all our students and field staff
- We continuously monitor the guidelines set by the US Department of State regarding US citizens overseas and all travel health warnings announced by the Center for Disease Control
- We include multiple outlets for providing students with health and safety knowledge
- General information prior to departure
- Detailed, city specific information upon arrival
- We employ staff who are committed to and trained for addressing health and safety concerns
Accident and Health Insurance
All Intrax Study Abroad students are covered by Intrax Study Abroad's comprehensive accident and sickness insurance policy. Intrax's unique insurance policy is a cash-less system, which means, unlike many study abroad insurance policies, students do not have to pay any on-site fees in the event of emergency provided the student uses a doctor within the policy's plan. Intrax Study Abroad insurance also identifies highly qualified medical doctors around the world, so students are ensured excellent medical care on all our programs.
Liability
As an added layer of protection Intrax Study Abroad maintains a $9,000,000 general liability policy.
