Academics
In conjunction with Universidad Veritas, Intrax has tailored a four-week program which provides up to 6 academic credits. During your time in San José you will receive formal Spanish conversation instruction each morning on campus. In addition to language studies, coursework includes Intercultural Competence training and lectures on communal development and environmental conservation. The first half of your program is designed to build a solid knowledge base before bringing your new skills to the field. Your studies will come to life during experiential service projects, independent study and exploratory travel. Your field-based studies encourage practical skills application while crisscrossing Costa Rica. Work, study and stay in such diverse and exotic communities as Kekoldi Indigenous Community Reserve, Cahuita National Park, Barra Pacuare Reserve, Tenorio Park, Cano Negro Reserve, Sarapiquí and many others.
Intrax's programs are accredited by a US university, enabling students to easily transfer academic credit to their home university. Please see the academic credit section for more details.
