Program Overview:
Intrax's Culture+ are unique experiences that combine study abroad with adventure travel. Our 20-day China program includes an academic curriculum focused on Mandarin language and Intercultural Competence, as well as excursions to many exciting attractions.
China is quickly becoming one of the hottest travel destinations in the world. What makes it so interesting is the mix of ancient history and extreme modernity that exists here. China is the oldest surviving civilization and home to many of the world's great treasures. Evidence of the country's long history can still be seen in the customs and traditions of its people, especially those living in rural areas. Hyper economic growth during recent years has transformed China's cities into bustling, cosmopolitan centers full of business, art, entertainment and edgy, urban character. This economic success has also positioned China as a major player in the global marketplace, making the study of Chinese language and culture especially valuable to college students!
You'll learn essential Mandarin communication skills, become better at recognizing and adapting to cultural differences, work side-by-side with locals on important conservation efforts, see amazing sights...and have tons of fun!
