Program Overview
Intrax's Culture+ program to Argentina is a dynamic four-week study program which includes coursework in Spanish language and Intercultural Competence (ICC), as well as a once in a lifetime opportunity to ski and snowboard in the Andes! Our exciting new program merges three weeks of cutting-edge ICC coursework, intensive Spanish language studies with one week of the best skiing and snowboarding in the southern hemisphere. You can also receive up to 6 academic credits while learning in and out of the classroom.
Argentina is a "land of extremes" unlike any other. Bone-dry high plains in the north are contrasted by the hundreds of lakes and towering glaciers of Patagonia. Over 120 thousand square miles of prairie pampas, where Argentine gauchos tend their cattle herds are offset by the magnificent snow-capped peaks of the Andes. But Argentina's jaw-dropping vistas are only one part of its rich cultural heritage: its cosmopolitan cities are home to culinary and fine art masterpieces as well as the powerful economic engine driving Argentina out of the catastrophic collapse which began in the late 1990s.
For three weeks, you will call Buenos Aires home and be introduced to Argentine culture by a carefully selected host family. Buenos Aires, Argentina's vibrant Paris-like capital is a chic, contemporary city that is bursting at the seams with unique culture, life and energy. In Patagonia, Bariloche will be your home base during the fourth week of your study program. Here you will continue to put your newly acquired Intercultural Competence skills into practice while rubbing elbows with the locals. Not to mention, this week leaves plenty of time to hit the slopes of the Andes at two of Argentina's best know ski resorts.
