Field Studies

Learning in the classroom is one way you will 'study abroad' with Intrax, but to really add meaning and practical application to your experience, Culture+ programs bring you into the field! Explore the hidden cultural gems of your host country through independent research projects, community-based service projects and exploratory travel. Our field-based studies make learning interactive and authentic and provide insight into your host culture like no traditional program could.

Feel the power and majesty of the Incan Empire as Machu Picchu reveals itself through the mist, traverse the rim of active volcanoes and conduct research in the pristine Costa Rican rainforest, study microfinance in rural India then hike the Himalayas, meet language partners on the slopes in Patagonia's snow sports mecca of San Carlos de Bariloche, participate in evening culture seminars in ancient temples deep within the Japanese Alps, or learn strategies and challenges from prominent business leaders in China as they compete in foreign and domestic markets. And, of course, relax and explore your new environment.
