Our expertise spans the globe and as a team we speak Spanish, French, Russian, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Cantonese, Mandarin and even some Greek. Terry Cumes is the Managing Director of Intrax Study Abroad. He is responsible for the general management of Intrax's operations and strategy for both the college and high school programs. Terry has lived abroad for many years and worked in travel for over a decade. Before joining Intrax, he ran an Ecotourism company in Peru and was European General Manager for Backroads in France. Terry has a BA in Political Economics from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Stanford. A native of South Africa, Terry speaks fluent Spanish, Portuguese, French and is working on Italian. Aaron Bear Chan is the Marketing Manager for Intrax Study Abroad. Although he is a San Francisco Bay Area native, he has spent more than twelve years living in various countries throughout the world including Spain, Peru, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador and the Czech Republic. He is an avid traveler and loves exploring new and interesting cultures. Prior to his current position at Intrax, Aaron owned and operated an adventure travel company he founded in 1998 to take skiers and snowboarders to South America. He has over 10 years of experience as a mountain guide and holds his MBA in International Management from Thunderbird University in Arizona. Aaron can be contacted at achan@studytheworld.com.

Born and raised in Texas, Paul attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville and Tufts University's Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Boston. Studying abroad in Spain spurred his lifelong interest in international affairs and his passion for promoting international education among American students. His professional pursuits and dedication to international issues have taken him all over the world. He has worked for many years designing and leading language immersion, community service, and academic programs in Cuba, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Brazil, Peru, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and Spain. Paul traveled extensively in Mexico, Belize, Guatemala, and Honduras for his work with a coral reef conservation program. In Washington, DC, he worked as a researcher investigating Latin American foreign policy for the Council on Hemispheric Affairs and environmental policy for Resources for the Future. Lorien Liptack serves as Academic Relations Manager at Intrax Study Abroad. She is responsible for maintaining institutional relationships and works closely with college students as they embark on their study abroad experience. Lorien has a BA in International Relations and Spanish from the University of New Hampshire and a MA in International Education from the School for International Training (SIT). Joseph Roma serves as Senior Operations Manager at Intrax Study Abroad. He is responsible for managing all logistical elements of college study abroad programs. Joe is a graduate of The University of St Thomas where he received his degree in Educational Psychology and Philosophy. Joe is a seasoned traveler, in addition to having lived and studied abroad. Sue Strow serves as the Asia Program Manager at Intrax Study Abroad. She is responsible for developing and coordinating high school and college study abroad programs in Asia. Sue holds a Master's degree in International Education from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, VT and a BA in Marketing from Michigan State University. She has extensive experience traveling throughout South and Southeast Asia and has spent over seven years living and working in Thailand and Japan developing and coordinating education programs. Beverly Salguero serves as a Program Manager at Intrax. She is responsible for all logistical elements of college study abroad programs. Beverly is a graduate of The University of California at Los Angeles where she received her degree in Economics. Having lived for many years in Paris, France, Beverly has led private wine tours in France, worked for Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant and developed active vacation tours for Backroads. Isabel Lee is the Ticketing Supervisor for Intrax Study Abroad, and has been with Intrax for over ten years. Isabel is responsible for providing Intrax sister companies (such as Ayusa and Au Pair Care) with complicated domestic and international tickets. She is well traveled, and speaks fluent Portuguese, Cantonese, and some French. Isabel can be contacted at ilee@studytheworld.com.

Candy Sahl is the Air Operations Manager for Intrax. Candy negotiates all contracts with the airlines, as well as managing the blocked air space. She has traveled extensively and lived abroad. Tim Piazza is a Group Air Agent for Intrax Study Abroad. Tim, along with the rest of the ticketing department, facilitates travel for the many students Intrax and their sister companies (such as Ayusa and Au Pair Care) send around the world each month. He comes to Intrax with experience from several different travel companies and has worked in many capacities within the travel industry. He's good with a turn-of-phrase and claims to be pretty funny.
